Born in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, he graduated as an Agricultural Engineer (with a focus on Agricultural Production) from the Faculty of Agronomy at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), where he also later earned a Master of Science degree in Soil Science. He then continued his studies at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, obtaining a Doctorate in Science, specializing in Soil Science.
Before graduating, he began teaching and conducting research at the Faculty of Agronomy at UBA, successfully securing various full-time academic positions. He also served as the Secretary of Extension and Student Affairs at UBA from 2001 to 2006. Currently, he holds a part-time position as an Adjunct Professor at UBA and is a member of the faculty at the Graduate School.
In 2007, he applied for a research position at INTA (National Institute of Agricultural Technology), where he continues to work full-time, participating in and leading several research projects, both nationally and in collaboration with institutions from neighboring countries. He is also actively involved in the training of human resources.
