Biography

Agricultural Engineer from the National University of Cajamarca, Master in Agricultural Production, Dr. in Biological Sciences from the National University of San Marcos. Professor of Tubers and Roots from 1986 to date at the Faculty of Agronomy of the UNPRG, advisor of several undergraduate thesis projects, since 2000 head of the biotechnology laboratory of the FAG-UNPRG, 2023-2024 vice president of the Technical Commission for Research and Innovation of the Lambayeque Region. Recognition of teaching work in extension and research by UNPRG, gold medal in 2006 by the Alliance Française de Lambayeque, for the research and obtaining of the Cañareja potato cultivar, diploma of honor in 2019 by UNPRG, for obtaining the RENACYT qualification from CONCYTEC, with research papers published in indexed journals. General Coordinator in 2012-2014 at ACOMEBIO, in the National project "Obtaining genetic material for obtaining babi or cocktail potatoes" and between 2016-2018 in the National project "Selection of commercial potatoes, CIP clones and native cultivars for processing into Flakes", currently in the process of releasing the pigmented pulp potato cultivar Llaucanita and 2 native cultivars. He participated in the exhibition of research works on potatoes at ALAP, since 2000.
