Biography

Graduate in Geological Sciences, Universidad Nacional del Sur(Argentina). Master in Agricultural Sciences (Ms. of Sci.), Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina). Homologation of professional title to the corresponding Spanish Bachelor of Geology, granted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Spain. Doctor Ingeniero de Caminos, Canales y Puertos, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, (Spain).
Professional experience:
Since 1993, he has practical experience, as a free professional, teacher (undergraduate and postgraduate) and researcher, in the field of hydrology, hydrogeology, soils, irrigation and planning and exploitation of hydraulic resources. geographic information systems, remote sensors and mathematical modeling of hydrological processes. Currently, he works as a researcher at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA in the Soil and Water Management and Conservation Group at the EEA Balcarce, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina). He has more than 30 years of work experience in topics related to the management and conservation of water resources (surface and underground). Its current activity includes irrigation and its relationship with water resources, ecosystem services, and soil use and management. As a free professional he has developed projects in Spain and Argentina. As a researcher, he has participated in projects funded by the Centro de Estudios Hidrográficos del Centro de Experimentación de Obras Públicas (Spain), Center National du Machinisme Agricole du Génie Rural des Eaux et des Forêts (France), European Union, Confederación Hidrográfica del Tajo (Spain), Consellería d'Obres Púpliques, Urbanisme i Transport de la Generalitat Valenciana (Spain), Agencia Nacional de Promoción Científica y Técnica (Argentina), Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (ArgentinaUniversidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina), Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (Argentina) and Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (Argentina). He coordinated of two national-scale INTA research projects. He has published research papers in national and international scientific publications, chapters in books, technical and periodical publications, congresses, meetings, conferences and workshops. He has provided training to professionals, producers and rural residents, directed, co-directed and advised theses (degree and postgraduate), and acted as a reviewer of national and international scientific and technical publications.
