Nicolás Baráibar is an Agronomist with a specialization in agricultural-livestock systems from the Faculty of Agronomy at the Universidad de la República, Uruguay (2008-2013). In 2019, he earned a master's degree in Agro-environmental Technology for Sustainable Agriculture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where his thesis focused on "Alternatives for Adaptation and Mitigation of Climate Change in Dairy Farming in Spain." Currently, he is completing his final project for the Professional Master's in Data Science at the Technological University of Uruguay, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Since July 2021, Nicolás has been working as a Sector Technician at the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA) in Uruguay. In this role, he has led the supervision and coordination of several projects funded by the Agricultural Technology Promotion Fund (FPTA), aimed at reducing technological gaps and improving pasture management. Additionally, he leads projects related to the development of decision support systems for pastoral systems in Uruguay, maintaining a close connection with producers.
