Biography

Lic. in Animal Production and Zootechnical Engineer. With a Master of Science in Animal Nutrition and
Production from Western Kentucky University. USA. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) of Animal
Nutrition at Kansas State University. USA. He currently works as a Senior Researcher at the Dominican
Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Research (IDIAF). Director of the IDIAF Animal Production Center.
Full Professor of the Faculty of Agronomic and Veterinary Sciences. Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.
(UASD). My line of work is focused on animal nutrition and its relationship with livestock systems.
I am coordinating the Quantification of Greenhouse Gases project funded by the country's Ministry of
Education, Science and Technology. Some of his latest publications are: Achievements and perspectives of
Livestock Research: From the National Livestock Research Center (CENIP- SEA) to the Animal Production
Center (CPA- IDIAF). 2017. Livestock Records Manual (2021). Project coordinator: “Transfer of technological
packages for the intensification and competitiveness of the Beef and Dual Purpose Livestock Sub-sector.”
