Biography

I am interested in understanding how the peasants of the highlands of Bolivia have adapted to climate change to cultivate and produce their food. I am also interested in how local knowledge can contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and the use of soil.

In the Institute of Ecology – IE, I have the opportunity to make alliances and execute projects with academic and research entities, at national and international level; as well as with public institutions, peasant and indigenous organizations. These are based on the ecosystem approach to contribute to the knowledge, management and conservation of biodiversity.

I teach and research in the conservation biology field at the Universidad Mayor de San Andres – UMSA of La Paz, Bolivia.
