Agricultural engineer of the Central University of Ecuador (2008), with a Master of Science in Crop Protection from The University of Puerto Rico (2012), Ph.D. in plant disease epidemiology from The University of Nebraska (2018), and postdoctoral training in genetics and breeding for resistance against seedling diseases from The Ohio State University (2020). Interested in science and Teaching Science, gender equality in Sciencce, microbiology, epidemiology, conservation, plant disease diagnosis, biological control, plant breeding, mycotoxins, Omics research. He is a professor of Phytopathology and Microbiology at the Central University of Ecuador and of Biotechnological Methods in Plant Health in the Master's program at the Technical University of Cotopaxi, and as an instructor of Transcriptomics and Gene Expression courses accredited by the Agrarian University La Molina.
