Agronomist (National Agrarian University La Molina) with a master's degree in soils from the National Agrarian University La Molina and a Ph.D. in Science and Bioengineering (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium). Principal professor in the Department of Soils at UNALM, specializing in Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry. He has served as the director of the Department of Soils and the head of the Soil, Plant, Water, and Fertilizer Analysis Laboratory at UNALM. He has participated in and coordinated research and development projects with national and international institutions such as the International Atomic Energy Agency. He is a co-investigator in the technical cooperation agreement for the FONTAGRO Project ATN/RF-20641-RG "Optimizing Nitrogen Use, Higher Production, and Lower Impact (N4R)." He leads the research group on the development of alternative fertilizers at UNALM.
