Biography

Veterinarian (2010) from the National University of Colombia. He completed an internship at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science - National Autonomous University of Mexico (FMVZ-UNAM) and a stay at the Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo (FZEA-USP). He has 14 years of work experience in the areas of animal reproduction and herd health management. Since 2019, he has been part of the research and innovation group in animal health and welfare at the Colombian Corporation of Agricultural Research – AGROSAVIA, where he contributes to the development of research initiatives in these areas.

Regarding his recent publications, they have focused on bovine mastitis and animal welfare in different production systems. Additionally, he participated in the development of a decision support system (DSS) for bovine welfare called "Más Bienestar" at Agrosavia, as well as in the creation of public policy for the welfare of cattle, horses, and rabbits.
