Agricultural engineer from the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado in Venezuela with a PhD in Plant Biotechnology from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain. More than ten years of experience in research projects related to germplasm conservation and plant breeding in vegetables, especially in the Solanaceae family such as tomato, paprika and eggplant. Experience coordinating seed production processes at a commercial level for corn and rice. Currently in activities focused on developing strategies to improve the productivity of family and peasant farming systems, and the management of quality seed in species of importance for food in the Caribbean region of Colombia.
