Biography

Biologist graduated from the University of Havana, Cuba. Master in Tropical Fruit Growing and PhD in Agricultural Entomology from the Paulista State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho", Brazil. She currently works as a PhD researcher at the Caribia Research Center, AGROSAVIA. She has more than 15 years of experience in the phytosanitary area. , with emphasis on the integrated management of pests and phytopathogen vectors, mainly in coconut, papaya and citrus crops, habitat manipulation and biological control. He was a member of the Fruit Tree Technical Group of the Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba, established for the transfer of technologies resulting from research and evaluation of its implementation. In recent years, his research work has been related to the management of the huanglongbing (HLB)-Diaphorina citri pathosystem.
