Chemistry, Master in Chemistry from the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia and PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Universidad de Antioquia. My research areas include the extraction, characterization and chemical-biological study of (bio)molecules with potential benefit in industrial, food and pharmaceutical sectors. Experience in laboratory level instrumentation, specialized programs and execution of projects related to the bioprospecting of macrofungi with biological potential. I have participated in different research projects associated with the optimization of chemical and biotechnological processes, particularly biocatalysis and the study of natural products.
