Yury Tatiana Granja Salcedo is a Veterinary Zootechnician graduated from the Universidad de la Amazonia in Colombia in 2011. She obtained her Master's degree in 2013 and PhD in 2017, both in Animal Production with an emphasis on Ruminant Nutrition at the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" campus Jaboticabal (FCAV-UNESP), in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, as a FAPESP fellow. Her training includes a research stay in 2016 in gastrointestinal tract microbiology in domestic animals at CSIRO St Lucia, Queensland Biosciences Precinct in Australia. From 2017 to 2020, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in beef cattle nutrition at the Department of Animal Production of FCAV-UNESP. Since 2020, she has served as an associated PhD researcher at the Nus Research Center (San Roque, Antioquia, Colombia) in the area of Ruminant Nutrition. Currently, she is the Leader of the Microbiology and Animal Nutrition Research Group of the Tropics, category: A1 according to Minciencias (Colombia). Her work has focused on researching nutritional strategies in ruminants to increase beef and dairy cattle productivity in tropical conditions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through ruminal environment optimization. Has published 66 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and 2 book chapters, and participated as co-supervisor in four doctoral theses, four master's theses, and seven undergraduate final projects.
