Biography

Graduate in Economics, graduated from the Autonomous University of Chiriquí, Republic of Panama. She has a degree in Agricultural Administration from the Technological University of Oteima, with a Master's degree in Environmental Socioeconomic Sciences from the Tropical Agricultural Research and Teaching Center (CATIE), Costa Rica. She is currently a researcher in socioeconomics at the Institute of Agricultural Innovation of Panama, developing studies on technology acceptance, characterization of value chains and production systems in crops such as beans, bananas,
pigeon pea, rice, vegetables and onion. Delegate of Panama to the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Research and Development of Musaceae. She served as Banana project manager in international cooperation IDIAP - BIODIVERSITY FONTAGRO in the years 2011 to 2013. Researcher responsible for research in socioeconomics and value chains for the current initiative on iron-rich beans for Latin America and the Caribbean financed by IDB FONTAGRO.
