Biography

He has 15 years of experience in the area of ??ecotoxicology, dynamics of compounds in the environment and evaluation of the toxicity of waste and effluents. University teacher with 12 years of experience in undergraduate and postgraduate courses (University of Buenos Aires, Favaloro University and National University of Lomas de Zamora). I worked on the impact of environmental liabilities on soil, water and biota, using an interdisciplinary approach through Participatory Action Research (PAR) between research-extension centers (INTA, Universities, CONICET, SAF), the community affected by the pollution and the government (National, Provincial, Municipal). I use standardized ecotoxicological tools to evaluate chronic and acute effects of pure substances and complex mixtures (waste, effluent, contaminated water and soil). I developed new ecotoxicological tools to evaluate the effects of compounds with the capacity to disrupt the endocrine system of organisms with emphasis on those that present estrogenic activity in fish, as well as phytotoxicity indices to evaluate the toxicity of waste and effluents. Regarding scientific contributions, I have participated in 18 R&D and CVT projects, I published 8 papers in international journals with high impact, I was editor of 1 book, I presented 27 papers at national conferences and 20 at international conferences, I received awards from UBA and SETAC (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry), I made various scientific dissemination contributions in different media (radio, TV, internet), I trained HR by directing 1 doctoral thesis (in progress), 6 bachelor's and engineering theses and the tutoring of 14 study groups at INTA. Member of the Institutional Committee for the Care and Use of Experimental Animals (CICUAE) of the CNIA-CICVyA, INTA Castelar. Technical responsible before the RENPRE (SEDRONAR) on behalf of the IMYZA (INTA). Finally, I have participated in activities in different scientific societies, highlighting that I was a member of the board of directors of SETAC Latin America and the scientific committee of the III COLAMA international congress. Editor at Frontiers in Chemical Engineering (section Environmental Chemical Engineering) and reviewer for 5 international journals.
