Agricultural Engineer from Universidad Austral de Chile, with a Ph.D. in Plant Science from North Dakota State University, USA.
He has been working since 1997 as a researcher and extensionist at the INIA Tamel Aike Regional Center in the Aysén Region, Chile. His current areas of interest and work are in grasslands and pastoral systems ecology, grassland management and use of forage and supplementary crops, agroforestry, crop agronomy and sustainable practices, carbon sequestration-adaptation to climate change and technology transfer-extension.
The link to the FONTAGRO project "Opportunities for carbon sequestration in soils of Latin America and the Caribbean" is as part of the Chilean technical team, based in the Aysén region, for monitoring and sampling soils under different management systems and the impact of this on soil carbon capture/loss.
