Graduate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. The Master at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and his doctorate at the University of Massachusetts, United States. Member of Agronomy and Veterinary Academy of Argentina. Postgraduate (1991) and a research scholarship (2015) in Japan. He is a titular professor and director of the Animal Biotechnology Laboratory (Labba) in the UBA. He is also the principal investigator of the National Research and Technology Council (CONICET). Since 1993, he has taught several courses on IVF, cloning and transgenesis, with the support of the Brazilian Biotechnology Center of Brazil. He was director of a cooperation project with Vietnam and now one in the West Bank. Dr. Salamone has published more than 60 arbitrated articles, has presented more than 111 conferences in 18 countries and received several awards. Some of the awards he obtained were the Perez Companc, Konex and 4 innovative awards awards. He is the director of the Department of Animal Production, of the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Buenos Aires, and “past president” (member of the Board) of the International Embryo Technology Society. The main approach to your research is micro-manipulation and / or transgenesis of embryos in several domestic species.
