Biochemical (U of Chile 1992, phd in biochemistry (U of Chile 1999). 24 years in Inia La Platina developing biotechnology, with emphasis on genetic transformation of plants and plant-patogen interaction. The research developed has included: genomics of interaction vid -Botrytis, interferential RNA in woody species, gene silence, development and use of artificial microlys and gene editing systems (CRISPR and modulation by small RNAS). The main products of the investigation in recent years are: transgenic lines' Thompson Seedless' ' with fungi tolerance; Transgenic Ciruelo (P. Salicina) lines with PLUM POX Virus Resistance using viral gene silence and also the plant; development of an artificial microly ; Bioreactor systems for vines and cherry trees; a web platform for general flow model between plant species in Chili; Traceability and data transmission systems from the field; Website and database for genomes of fruit species and biotools used in NBTS (www.fruit-cee-genomics.com). Most of these works have ended in documents for the protection of your property or brand registration (gene flow); and then progressively, in technical publications.
