Agronomist Engineer from the Universidad Nacional Del Altiplano in Puno, Peru. He has a Master's degree in Production Systems from CATIE, Costa-Rica and doctoral studies in Sustainable Development from Universidad Bolivariana, Chile.
Roberto has more than 35 years of experience in research and development in Andean agriculture and has collaborated with multiple national and international institutions. He has worked at INIA-Puno, Universidad Nacional del Altiplano, International Potato Center (CIP) and Research Center for Natural Resources and Environment (CIRNMA) where he is currently the Research Director. His research interests include smallholder farming, production systems, rural development, formulation and evaluation of research projects.
