Graduated as an Agronomist, he joined INTA in May 1983 as an initiation scholarship holder in the Plant Pathology Department (currently IMyZA) at the INTA Castelar Research Center. Two years later, he moved to the town of San Pedro, Province of Buenos Aires, where he worked as a Technical Advisor in Fruit Farming and Nursery at the Rural Extension Agency of the same town, specializing in agricultural extension and fruit farming.
In 1990, he was appointed Head of the Rural Extension Agency. There, he served as Head of the Regional Fruit-Nurseries Project, Project Agent for Rural Change, and Coordinator of the Regional Integrated Pest Management Project in Fruit Farming.
He earned a Master of Science degree in Citrus Cultivation from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.
He actively participated in various commissions alongside producer organizations and other National, Provincial, and Municipal entities: Local Emergency Commission, Advisory Commission for Fruit Farming in the Northeast of Buenos Aires Province, Strategic Plan for the City of San Pedro, Multisectoral Production Board, etc. He has also provided consultancy services to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food of Buenos Aires Province (MAGyAL) and the National Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Food (SAGPyA) on matters related to fruit farming.
Later, he was appointed Director of the INTA San Pedro Experimental Station for two consecutive terms.
He participated in the Fontagro HLB project from its inception, particularly involved in the activities related to the demonstration plots established by the project in San Pedro.
