Agricultural Engineer, with a master's degree in Agronomic Sciences, emphasis on Plant Physiology from the University of Córdoba (Colombia). Currently, I am Master's researcher in the Livestock and Minor Species network of the Colombian Corporation for Agricultural Research (AGROSAVIA). My experience is mainly in agricultural and livestock research, based on improvement programs for transient and forage crops, linking the importance of plant physiology in the selection and obtaining of new genotypes projected for the Caribbean region of Colombia, which are characterized by their tolerance to various stress factors (mainly drought), high yields and, in the case of forages, high nutritional content. I have worked on research related to the properties and attributes of the seed, in order to strengthen the quality seed production capacities of producer associations of the maize, cocoa and arracacha production systems, likewise, I lead linkage projects that promote the dissemination and promotion of the technologies generated by AGROSAVIA for livestock systems in the Caribbean region of Colombia. The most relevant research has contributed to obtaining and registering new technological offers such as: CORPOICA V-159 white corn variety for grain, CORPOICA V-115 sweet corn varieties and AGROSAVIA V-116 HAWAII DULCE for fresh marketing, pasture AGROSAVIA SABANERA and AGROSAVIA MISHAYA for the Caribbean region, arracacha cultivar AGROSAVIA La 22 for the Andean region.
