Agronomist Engineer, Master in Agricultural Sciences with emphasis on plant breeding and PhD in Genetics and Breeding. He participated in projects for conservation and evaluation of coffee germplasm, looking for sources of resistance to CBB (Hypothenemus hampei Ferrari), evaluation of interspecific hybrids, cytogenetics, studies in application of genomic selection and development of coffee varieties. The most recent works include the evaluation of potato cultivars in high Andean agroecological conditions in southern of Colombia. He is currently working on pea breeding, with the purpose of evaluating germplasm and developing varieties with tolerance for diseases. He has knowledge in field experimental design, genetic designs and biometric models applied to plant breeding.
