VI Award for Scientific Excellence 2015.

Each year FONTAGRO presents this award to the best project and team of researchers and institutions that have demonstrated scientific excellence in execution of project activities.

On this occasion, the award was presented to the project: “Expanding the agricultural frontier of the potato in order to reduce the effects of climate change” [Ampliando la frontera agrícola de la Papa para disminuir los efectos del cambio climático (CLIPAPA)], headed by Dr. Enrique Ritter of the Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development, NEIKER, Spain, and implemented jointly with the following organizations: INIAP, Ecuador; INTA, Argentina; PROINPA, Bolivia; INIA, Peru; the Yanapai Group, Peru; CIA, University of Costa Rica, Costa Rica;and INIA, Uruguay.
